This brief guide is intended to help first time users of Timbuktu Pro quickly set up and establish a connection between two machines over TCP/IP through a Webramp router running Network Address Translation. This is by no means a definitive guide. There are alternate ways of establishing a Timbuktu Pro TCP/IP connection. This guide only presents one of them.
How to connect to a machine behind a WebRamp router:
- In the WebRamp Setup page, click Advanced.
- Click Local Configuration, and then click Applications.
- Click Local Servers, and then click Enable.
- Click Add.
- Enter the IP address of the machine that you want to connect to.
- Select Other for Service Type.
- Select UDP or TCP for the corresponding Timbuktu ports.
- Enter in the Timbuktu port for External Port and Internal Port.
- You may enter anything you want for the Service Type Name.
- Click Apply
