Current firmware: 6.3.0 R7 for the Cayman Router Series. This page contains the firmware files for the 3220-H and 2-E model Cayman routers.

CAUTION: Certain older Cayman model routers (3220 / 2E) may require the installation of an "updater" file before loading the latest version of firmware. Failure to install the proper files could render the router unusable and this type of failure would not be covered under warranty.

Cayman Operating System Release 6.3.0 R7 represents significantly expanded functionality for your Cayman Gateway. To deliver these important features, the 6.3 image is larger than earlier versions and the updating process is different from earlier procedures. It requires careful attention to the instruction sequence.

Unsupported PIDS for 2E units:

• 0618 and 0619 are never supported
• 0719 and 0720 are only supported for 4 MB memory units
• All 2 MB memory units are not supported

Barrier Reef Owners:

If you upgrade your Cayman Router, 3220 or 2E from 6.2 to 6.3, you will lose all Barrier Reef functionality. This product was discontinued and will have no firmware support in any Cayman router going forward.

If you are using Barrier Reef, please do not upgrade to 6.3.0 R7!

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:

• If you are currently running 6.x firmware on your router, do not run any of the updater files.
  Just upgrade with the proper version of 6.3.0 R7 firmware for your particular router.
• If you are currently using the Back Door, or Interim password to access the router, you must change the Admin Level password before you upgrade the firmware. The interim password will no longer be functional after firmware version 6.3.0 R2. Browse into the router, go to Security and click on the Password link. The password can be changed here and will take effect immediately. Failure to do this will make the router configuration screens inaccessible without a factory reset.
