**CAUTION:
Before upgrading a Netopia Gateway running Enterprise Firmware version 8.0.10 (or earlier) to firmware v8.4.2 R0 and later, you must first upgrade to 8.2 R1.
Failure to take this precautionary step may cause the router to malfunction.

PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly advised that you preview the documentation on this website regarding the correct procedure to upgrade the firmware for your particular piece of equipment. Make sure to have a copy of the Internet configuration information from your provider. Do not upgrade your router from an off-site location in case a problem occurs.

WARNING: If you have a 3300 Series Smart Modem running firmware version 6.3.0 R9 and earlier, DO NOT attempt to load new firmware on your device. No updates are available at this time. Any attempt to do so may result in hardware failure which IS NOT covered under warranty.
