Netopia Point-of-Sale Routers are designed to provide retail locations with all the benefits of a high-speed broadband network capable of supporting a broad range of retail devices and systems, while delivering superior quality of service and Wi-Fi connectivity.

By leveraging a broadband connection and the advanced QoS and Wi-Fi features built in to Netopia POS routers, service providers can greatly improve retail subscribers' POS transaction processing speeds and, at the same time, offer a host of other retail services and devices, including ATM and lottery machines, POS terminals and computers, VoIP phone systems, surveillance and security systems, video delivery, and Wi-Fi hot spots.

Motorola Technology. Motorola's innovative VGx Virtual Gateway QoS technology allows the delivery of multiple quality-sensitive services such as voice and video, while 3-D Reach® Extreme Wi-Fi technology delivers industry-leading indoor wireless performance, range, and coverage.

Built-in Security Features. Motorola offers robust security features such as a built-in stateful firewall to help protect data, applications, and the POS router. Virtual private networking (VPN) pass-through is included, with optional IPSec VPN gateway and security monitoring and logging capabilities. Additional security and control is possible using virtual LANs (VLANs) powered by the integrated managed Ethernet switch featuring VGx QoS technology.

Netopia POS routers combine an integrated ADSL/ADSL2+ modem, a built-in high-speed WAN interface, 802.11g wireless access point, and managed 10/100 Ethernet switch into a single broadband networking solution in a compact footprint — the ideal solution for high-speed broadband networks for retail merchants.
